Ben White has been one of Arsenal’s most consistent performers this season, helping them keep nine clean sheets in 30 Premier League appearances.
The Englishman had a rock-solid outing in the win over Brighton, neutralizing their threat in the right and being assertive with his work
After the result, Mikel Arteta was asked about the reason for White being so good for the Gunners this season and replied: “Credit to him because he's always willing to learn, to train, to play in any circumstances - whether he's feeling good or not. He's open-minded and he has the desire to win. That's what makes a difference.”
White has indeed shown an admirable desire to perform for Arsenal, as he is reportedly playing with a knee issue for the last five months.
Even though Gareth Southgate might be having an issue with him, White has definitely been one of the best English defenders in Europe this season and deserving all the praise he’s getting.
