Three Arsenal players who have impressed against Brighton...and two who needs to improve

Arsenal have taken a decisive 1-0 lead heading into the half-time break against Brighton & Hove Albion.

It hasn't been the most ruthless display from Mikel Arteta's side, who took the lead through Bukayo Saka's penalty. Here are the players who have impressed and those who need to improve.

Those who impressed

Bukayo Saka: Saks is back to the Arsenal side with a bang. Despite missing an early chance, he showed nerves of steel with his impressive penalty. Saka's also created three goal-scoring chances and looks a major threat through the right.

Gabriel Jesus: The Brazilian forward has been a menacing threat on the left, troubling the hosts with his movement. Got involved in quite a few prominent attacks and smartly won his side the penalty by forcing Tariq Lamptey into a silly foul.

Kai Havertz: Havertz is troubling Brighton with his brilliant link-up threat and physicality. Helped create a few nice chances with his clever passing and movement, allowing his teammates to find space in the final third.

David Raya: Raya seems obsessed with keeping his fifth consecutive clean sheet in away PL games. He's been razor-sharp in goal, recovering possession four times and making a fantastic save to deny a late equalizer.

Those who need to improve

Oleksandr Zinchenko: Zinchenko is clearly being targeted, with Brighton creating most of their chances through his side. Needs to be more proactive and assertive at the back, having failed to win a single tackle or duel so far.

Jorginho: The Italian midfielder hasn't really been able to be his efficient best in stopping Brighton's fast-breaks and often strayed out of position. Unable to win a proper duel and needs to improve his defensive work to help Arsenal be more reassured at the back.
