Mikel Arteta has voiced his support for Ben White amid the ongoing saga after he rejected the chance to represent England in March's internationals.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, the Arsenal boss explained, quoted by Eurosport: "I think he has received a lot of love and you just have to see what his team-mates and everybody in football think of them, especially the ones that have been close to him.
"I think people have respected his decision and hopefully one day he is prepared to represent his country in the best possible way, but that's completely up to him."
White has reportedly dropped out after a public issue with assistant coach Steve Holland. He's not expected to return after this even with the Euro 2024 coming up.
Nevertheless, White remains a crucial player for Arsenal, who face the ultimate battle against Manchester City on Sunday.
