Declan Rice rocked the field for the whole game as Gareth Southgate's squad took a tough 1-0 loss to Brazil at Wembley. Even though they didn't win, Rice stood out with his impressive performance in the midfield once again.
Southgate told Hayters TV: "I thought Declan was outstanding throughout the game, with and without the ball showed the next step that he has gone to."
"He’s a crucial player for us anyway but he looked totally at home in that sort of environment."
"We’re short of a few, we don’t have a lot of midfield players that play as sixes in the league. That’s why we’ve brought Kobbie [Mainoo] in and got him on the pitch as well."
England didn't perform very well against Brazil and had a hard time making chances without players like Saka and Harry Kane in the team.
