Arsenal are reportedly interested in the possibility of signing Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres to improve their frontline next season.
The Swedish forward spoke about his future in an interview with Swedish outlet Expressen, saying: “I don’t think much about it now actually, I want to win the league and the cup with Sporting – that’s where I’m putting all my energy and strength.
“It’s just speculation, but it’s good and fun to talk about. We’ll see what happens in the summer, I don’t know what will happen. But I really like Sporting and I don’t feel stressed at all for what’s to come.”
While Gyokeres is rumoured to have a £85 million release inserted into his contract, the Gunners are reportedly optimistic of signing him for around £75m in the summer window.
The 25-year-old has been a goal machine this season, having scored 36 goals and provided 14 assists in 39 appearances for the Portuguese heavyweights.
