Mikel Arteta came under a lot of criticism for making just one substitution in the shocking 1-0 loss to Porto.
When asked about doing so at his pre-match press conference, the Arsenal boss simply replied: "We have made changes in the last two or three games and every game is different in relation to what is happening.
"Rightly or wrongly we try to make the last call."
Arsenal failed to register a single shot on target during the Champions League Round of 16 first-leg tie.
Despite his players struggling to do anything on the field, Arteta only made one change; he replaced Leandro Trossard with Jorginho in the second half.
Arteta had players like Fabio Vieira, Reiss Nelson, Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah on the bench. Yet, he opted to trust those on the field and his team conceded the injury-time goal.
