Palace referee appointed
David Coote will be taking charge of the Crystal Palace vs Arsenal clash in the Premier League on Monday, August 21, it has been announced.
The 41-year-old referee has so far officiated only seven top-flight games involving the Gunners with a record of three wins, two draws and two defeats.
Arsenal defeat Luton Town in closed-doors friendly
In a friendly game held behind closed doors, Arsenal secured a 3-0 win over Luton Town on Thursday.
Leandro Trossard scored a brace, while David Raya played an hour and got a clean sheet.
Mikel Arteta gives update on Tierney's future
Speaking on whether Kieran Tierney will get more opportunities at Arsenal after Jurrien Timber's injury, Mikel Arteta said: "It’s an opportunity for everybody. We’re going to need everybody, and everybody is going to be important.
"The numbers that we have in the squad, especially in those positions are more limited now, so everybody has to be ready.Well, he played the [Community Shield], no? So, a player that played five days before in the final is part of the plans, for sure."
Arsenal secure loan deal for Runarsson
As per The Telegraph, Arsenal goalkeeper, Runar Runarsson is set for his third loan spell away from the club.
He is poised to join Cardiff City on a loan deal until the end of the season.
