Nelson - 4, Turner, Kiwior - 3: Rating Arsenal players in Sporting draw

The Englishman didn't have the sort of impact he had against Bournemouth in the Premier League. Nelson was isolated in the first half and didn't find his rhythm in the second.

Kiwior had a shaky debut. He was caught napping for Sporting's first goal. Although he showed impressive passing range, he lacked composure.

Turner had some descent saves but was overall poor. The American, like Kiwior, played a part in Sporting's equalizer and may be lacking in confidence.

Saka had a quiet game by his usual high standards. The youngster's only major impact was towards the final minutes.

Another strong showing by the Brazilian. Although he failed to find the net, Martinelli worked his socks out throughout the game.

Fabio Vieira - 8

Vieira was Arsenal's best player on his return to his homeland. The Portuguese found Saliba for the opener and almost didn't put a foot wrong throughout the game.

Saliba opened the scoring for the Gunners with a stunning header. However, the Frenchman was far from impressive, perhaps due to the absence of his usual partner, Gabriel.

The Others

Jorginho - 5, Xhaka - 6, White - 6, Zinchenko - 6
