Medical expert calls for patience with ESR

Weighing in on Emile Smith Rowe's groin problem, medical expert Dr. Rajpal Brar, DPT explained on his YouTube channel: The key to recovery here is being patient and Mikel [Arteta] again alluded to this. You can't rush this process.

"They're going to load Emile and see how he responds. If he doesn't respond, they'll have to ramp him down and then gradually reload to be able to tolerate those higher intensities. It's very important to be prudent and pro-active in these cases lest it turns into something that becomes an even longer-term return to play process and that's exactly what Arsenal are doing."

Arteta wants Balogun's contract extended by Arsenal

Arsenal have been urged by Mikel Arteta to give Folarin Balogun a long-term contract after his impressive start to his Reims loan spell, claims Jeuneux Footeux.

The young forward's current deal expires only in 2025, but the gaffer wants him given a new contract to reward his recent good work.

Ex-Arsenal chief explains Arteta 'mistake'

Calling one key aspect of Arteta's managerial job a 'mistake', former Gunners chief Raul Sanllehi told The Athletic: "I do not agree when clubs call the first-team coach ‘the manager’. First-team coach is first-team coach, that is enough. Nowadays, the workload is overwhelming, and I need him to concentrate on the first team.

"Anything that distracts you from that is not your responsibility — travel arrangements, the pitch, salary budget, medical department. We will get other people to do that. They have betrayed the model a little bit now. I would have not allowed that to happen. But that’s fine, it is working so far for them."

Arsenal ready to make £15m offer to sign Douglas Luiz in January

After having a £23m bid rejected in the summer, the Gunners are only ready to offer £15m for the midfielder - whose contract expires next summer.
