De Paul, Isak and more new names in latest Arsenal transfer round-up with probability ratings

The transfer window is already open. Fans expect Arsenal to be decisive in pursuing our target and act quickly after missing out on Emiliano Buendia.

We deliver you the latest names that have been discussed over the last weeks in the media in relation to Arsenal.

IN

Goalkeeper

Mathew Ryan (from Brighton). The 29-year-old looked decent last season when played for Arsenal. We can totally see this move happening but as per the latest reports, Sky Sports in particular, some other contenders for his signing have emerged.

Probability: 7/10

Andre Onana (from Ajax). His doping ban has been reduced, which makes him now an even more attractive option for Arsenal. The 25-year-old is said to be available at around €8m. The Cameroonian seems to be ready to join Arsenal and all we have to do is to make a move for him.

Probability: 7/10

Centre-back

No fresh reports have emerged and in fact it doesn't seem that Arsenal will target a centre-back this summer.

Right-back

Apart from Max Aarons from Norwich, Arsenal have identified Leipzig's Tyler Adams. As per The Athletic, the 22-year-old perfectly fits Mikel Arteta’s tactical plans as he can play at both right-back and midfield with the manager often using the 'inverted' system on that flank. However, there's nothing advanced yet.

Probability: 2/10

Left-back

According to The Athletic, the Gunners are exploring options at the market to provide a back-up to Keiran Tierney but there are no fresh names on the list. Ryan Bertrand links are seemingly dying away as there no updates on the Southampton left-back after initial reports.

Central midfield

This seems to be the area that Arsenal will look for options the most.

Ruben Neves: at this point in time, the Wolverhampton midfielder seems to be the most likely candidate to become our first signing this summer. But Arsenal will have to fork our £40m to meet the asking price.

Probability: 8/10

Yves Bissouma: the 24-year-old is certainly an impressive midfield dynamo and can plug our midfield hole for many seasons to come. He and his agent seem to be dropping Arsenal hints left, right and centre. According to The Times, Brighton are ready to part ways with their leader for £30m.

Probability: 5/10

Rodrigo De Paul: He's one of a few new names that emerged in the media. Udinese's central midfielder has already informed the club that he wants to leave this summer as per reports in Italy.

The 27-year-old is a very efficient ball-carrier with strong dribbling skills. The Argentinian is valued at £34m as per Transfermarkt. He scored 9 goals and bagged 10 assists in 36 Serie A games last season.

Probability: 2/10

Manuel Locatelli: Sky Sport Italia says Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and PSG are closely following the Sassuolo central midfielder who is valued at around £30m. He could be called a deep-lying playmaker with a good defensive ability. The 23-year-old scored 4 goals and managed 3 assists last season in 34 Serie A games. There's nothing advanced on him yet.

Probability: 2/10

Playmakers

Martin Odegaard: After missing out on Buendia, he's the main target for Arsenal. The club will need to learn Real Madrid's stance on him and if they are ready to sell what will be his asking price. His valuation must be close to £40m.

Probability: 6/10

Forwards

Alexander Isak: as per reliable Spanish source Cadena SER, Arsenal have set their sights on the Real Sociedad striker. The report says the Gunners have established contact with his agent to learn his demands but there's no contact with the club yet.

Roma and Barcelona are said to be among admirers of the 21-year-old. He scored 17 goals in 34 La Liga games last season (and 16 in the season before). Transfermarkt value him at £36m. He has 3 more years on his contract.

Probability: 3/10

Out

Some players are closer to a summer exit than others.

Goalkeeper

Bernd Leno: he said he's open to a fresh challenge but at the same time he's happy at Arsenal. It doesn't look as if the Gunners were planning to sell him. A lot will depend on Onana and if his move actually happens.

Probability: 2/10

Defence

Hector Bellerin: as good as off. Reported by multiple top sources. Thanks for the memories, Heccy. Betis have been named as a possible destination. Villarreal and Atletico Madrid are also linked.

Probability: 9/10

Midfield

Matteo Guendouzi: out of favour with Arteta. It's only a question of agreeing an acceptable fee between Arsenal and Marseille.

Probability: 9/10

Granit Xhaka: some source in Italy say it's a done deal already. Arsenal are expected to raise £15m plus add-ons for this move.

Probability: 9/10

Lucas Torreira, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Mohamed Elneny are very likely to leave as well but there are no updates on them yet.

Attack

As things stand, Willian and Eddie Nketiah seem to be the most probable departures but there are no fresh reports on them over the last few days. However, Arsenal have offered the Hale End product a contract extension but it's not clear if Eddie wants to accept it.

Probability: 9/10
