Pepe - 8.5, Odegaard - 8: rating Gunners in Brighton win

Best

Xhaka - 8

Barely put a foot wrong tonight. Was a crucial presence in midfield complementing Partey perfectly. Managed the tempo of the game really well. His interception allowed Odegaard to collect the ball and feed Pepe for his second goal of the game.

If Pepe hadn't scored a double would have probably been given a MotM award. Made things happen in the final third with his fabulous passing. Set up Pepe for the second goal. Apart form the assist, contributed to the result with 9 accurate long-balls and 3 key passes.

Partey - 7.5

Came close to scoring in the first half but didn't generate enough curl to place that ball inside the net. In the second half, hit the crossbar with a thunderous strike. His tendency to take risks in possession near our own box could put us into trouble but overall it was an almost error-free performance by the Ghanaian.

Pepe - 8.5

It looks likes he's getting better and better with every next performance. At last, he's found consistency and scores regularly. After a double at Palace, he scored another brace today showing brilliant execution in both episodes.

Chambers - 7.5

Ran tirelessly down the right for the full 90 minutes. Linked up with Pepe really well and produced several crosses into the box and kept his counterparts alert throuhgout. Defensively made some very important interventions as well. Connolly would have had a clear-cut chance if he hadn't tracked back mopping up a positional mistake by Gabriel and Holding.

Other Gunners

Leno - 6, Aubameyang - 5.5, Gabriel - 7, Holding - 7, Tierney - 7, Smith Rowe - 7.
