Pepe - 8.5, Chambers - 7: rating Gunners in Palace victory

Best

Leno - 7

Couldn't help the team when Benteke fired the ball in from a close range but produced some vital saves throughout the game. Dealt with Palace's crosses with perfection.

Delivered a very solid performance at both ends. Constantly pushed forward and was always in time to cover the space at the back. Made a crucial block to prevent Zaha from scoring at 1-1.

Was sharp at both ends. Constantly bombed forward putting Ward under pressure. Linked up with Saka beautifully down the left to set up Pepe for the opener.

Pepe - 8.5

Lacked efficiency in dribbling early on but gradually grew into the game. Scored the opener in the first half with his first touch. His second goal is what we want to see from him consistently - got the ball outside the box, cut in having a couple of defenders on his shoulders and produced an unstoppable timely shot into the far corner.

A very quiet game for the striker. Hardly had any impact on the game.

Other Gunners

Holding - 6, Gabriel - 6, Partey - 6, Elneny - 6.5, Saka - 6, Smith Rowe - 6.5.

Subs

Xhaka - n/a, Odegaard - 6.5, Martinelli - 7.
