'I am happier with some than others': Mikel Arteta on his plans for loaned out players

Mikel Arteta was asked about players that Arsenal loaned out and if he considers bringing them back to the fold.

"That will be the thing that we have to address at the end of the season," he replied as quoted by Arsenal's website.

"We loaned them out because we wanted to give them some game time and see the level that they can perform at away from here, try to develop them and then bring them back here to try to use them.

"That's the first idea. After, we will evaluate what they've done, the level that they've shown and how much they can accomplish with the way that we want to play and the squad that we have in our hands.

When asked if he's happy with the performance of our loanees, he added: "I am happier with some than others. You want to see your players play regularly and with some [players] that has not been the case."

Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, William Saliba, Joe Willock, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Sead Kolasinac are the players that Arsenal have loaned out over the last two transfer windows.

The latter is apparently not seen as a part of the future project. Torreira is likely to leave permanently as well, especially, after his latest statement about his desire to leave Europe.

Guendouzi's future is likely to lie outside Arsenal as his relationship with the manager went beyond repair, while Saliba is seen as part of the team next season.

The futures of Ains, Joe and Dinos remian uncertain.
