Cristiano Ronaldo had a bit of an embarrassing moment after he thought to have scored the winner for Juventus in their Serie A campaign opener against Udinese.
With the game stuck at 2-2 in added time, Ronaldo rose highest to score a powerful header in the 95th minute.
Delighted by it, the Juventus man took off his shirt to celebrate the goal – after which he was shown a yellow card for it.
However, things soon took a wrong turn as VAR took a close inspection before noticing that Ronaldo was inches offside for the goal – ruling it out.
In the end, Ronaldo basically received a yellow card for nothing as Massimiliano Allegri’s side endured a disappointing start to the campaign.
