Why all talks about 'selfish Salah' are pure nonsense
What does it take for Mo Salah to be accused of selfishness? Not much, to be honest: Liverpool need to drop points and Salah needs to fail to score.
That's exactly what happened in the Burnley game where Mo had quite a handful of decent chances and we still drew 1-1. And then hell broke loose and the chat was flooded with 'selfish Salah' rants.
I even saw the admin threatening to ban everyone who says 'selfish' once again (hope you don't ban me now, mate, lol) and I can understand why he said so although I personally wouldn't agree with those bans. But that's another story.
So, Salah is selfish, huh? Well, let me tell you one thing: an attacking player needs to be selfish. His job is to try to score whenever he has the slightest chance and yes, he can hit or miss, these things happen, but if he doesn't want to score, he may drop to CDM and live a peaceful life there (Fabinho would probably disagree with me here).
If you look at the Burnley game, in most cases Salah was either in a better position than his teammates, so he decided to score. Or his teammates were in an equally good position which meant he could pass or could try to score.
Anyway, it's always his call and remember, he is not sitting in front of the TV when the ball is in his feet. He has opposition defenders trying to chop his feet off and he has one-tenth of a wee second to make up his mind!
And then there are numbers. And the numbers tell us that Salah has provided 12 assists in all competitions this season - the same as Mane and Firmino. But fans keep believing that Sadio and Bobby are working for the team while Salah is working for the third Golden Boot.
Well, looks like all talks of selfish Mo are utter bullshit, to put it mildly. I don't think this article will stop them but at least I hope now you will treat them this way.

Good job, good read and well explained. Although I disagree. Yep strikers and goalscorers in general need to have a selfish streak as otherwise they wouldn't be where they are now. But what I witnessed from both Mo and Mane yesterday was detrimental to what the team is trying to do. 6 times either one of them had the ball with no shot on, but the other player was free, and 6 times they took a shot that wasn't on. They fucking hate eachother, which is obvious when either one scores. Same as I was disgusted with Saidos reaction to Robbos brilliant goal, he didn't smile and barely celebrated. I want a bit of selfishness but this is a joke and isn't good enough, we need to criticise when we see shite like that.
David Kelly⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, thanks for feedback! well, maybe you've noticed what I haven't or maybe I need to take my pink glasses off, who knows? But I think if they really do hate each other, then Klopp must be aware of that and I hope he can man-manage this situation. My point was not just about Salah vs Sadio because when people say Mo is selfish that means he is selfish towards everyone. That's where I think they are wrong.
Daddy Shooter, well I don't blame Mo, nor do I blame Saido. They're forwards at the end of the day and yeah we want them to be ruthless and always looking to score. But they're both as guilty of it as eachother but for some reason Mo gets all the stick. If you go back through the season and look at each players goals and the resulting celebrations, Saido and Mo barely congratulate each other, the competition between them is starting to affect the team and our ability to finish a team off. Even Manes reaction to Robbo scoring was in my humble opinion, disgraceful. They both need a huge boot in their respective arses and to be told to work for eachother and the team
David Kelly⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, I'm gonna play the devil here and be like: 'Well, if you think Mane's reaction to Robbo's goal was disgraceful, why not write a proper rant on our great blogging platform, man? Time to rock this place!' 😈😂😂
Andrey Chegodaev,🤣🤣🤣 when I write something along those lines I tend to get very angry reactions. So yes I will
David Kelly⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, seduction: complete 😂😂😂
Andrey Chegodaev,it's done now so prepare for the backlash
Good article. Yes I said I will delete their comment and give them a 10 day ban yes. It's a reason for that. Most that comes out with the selfish stuff says just that and nothing else . This is a community where we can say what we think and discuss things but those who don't contribute with anything else than their extremely boring one liners do deserve that ban . For myself for example I can say that I think Mo is extremely selfish b and have explained why I think so but I don't go around whining about it . Instead I try to support the team. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see of Mo ,Mane leave soon.
Christian Kull, and then we'll finally see Origi and Shaqiri shine! 😂😂😂
Andrey Chegodaev, 😮😮that's not even funny, imagine they were our options 😭
David Kelly⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, come on, they did well enough for me on FIFA! 😂
Andrey Chegodaev,🤣Well then, well be fine
David Kelly⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, perhaps we should double-check them via PES, shouldn't we?🤣🎮
Andrey Chegodaev, oohh I feel that pinch Andrey. Yes I have been going hard on Origi and Shaq and time will tell im right about them. They need to be replaced.
Andrey Chegodaev, yes and then on football manager, just to be sure
Christian Kull, no pinch here at all, I've been doubting Shaqiri since the start so we're on the same page here. With Origi, I like his goals a lot and he is a nice and loyal lad who sounds like he's definitely happy to train under Klopp and stuff. The only problem is his quality that differs so much from Sadio's or Bobby's.
David Kelly⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, and then go for Tarot cards or toss runes, just to be completely sure 🤣
Andrey Chegodaev, better safe than sorry🤣
you couldn't have said enough 😂 it has to stop. Pass the ball to your team mate so he can score for LFC
